We’re excited to offer new spot-program opportunities for the 2025–2026 school year, available to school districts across Long Island. As schools continue to enhance support systems for students and families, we’re introducing a series of after-school programs designed to equip students with essential skills for their academic journey and beyond.

Our research-based workshops provide students with the tools they need to navigate high school, prepare for college, and build strong executive functioning skills.

College Application Seminar (Student Focus) – A 10-week, in-depth guide for juniors and seniors covering college applications, essays, financial aid, and more.

College Application Seminar (Parent Focus) – A 5-week evening series that educates parents on the college admissions process and how to best support their students.

#Adulting 101 – Customizable workshops that teach essential life skills such as financial literacy, time management, and college preparedness.

“Taking Care of Business” Executive Functioning for Teens – Hands-on sessions that develop students’ organization, time management, and goal-setting skills.

Understanding Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers – A dynamic series helping students develop leadership and personal responsibility.

Each program is delivered in-person and can be tailored to fit your district’s needs, ensuring students gain valuable, real-world skills in an engaging learning environment.

Program Full Descriptions

College Application Seminar – Student Focus

10-week series of after-school workshops for high school seniors (fall) or juniors (spring), two-hours in duration.

Format: In-Person, Small or Medium Group Setting (based on needs and facilities). Students will require Chromebooks/Computer, Internet access. Presenter requires large Smartboard/Display. Topics include Naviance, Parts of an Application, Common App, College Essays, Financial Aid, FAFSA,
Good Fit Criteria, Decision-Making Framework, and more.

College Application Seminar – Parent /Guardian Focus

5-week series of evening workshops for parents of high school seniors or juniors, two-hours in duration.

Format: In-Person, Small or Medium Group Setting (based on needs and facilities). Recommended for Attendees to have Computer, Internet access. Presenter requires large Smartboard/Display. Topics include Naviance, Parts of an Application, Common App, College Essays, Financial Aid, FAFSA,
Good Fit Criteria, Decision-Making Framework, and more.

Customizable series of workshops for high school seniors, two hours in duration.

Format: In-Person, Small or Medium Group Setting (based on needs and facilities). Students will require Chromebooks/Computer, Internet access. Presenter requires large Smartboard/Display. Topics include Introduction to College – System, Credits & Degrees; Preparing & Packing for College; Banking: Accounts, Debit Cards & Venmo; Time Management; Communicating with Professors, Selecting a Major; Introduction to Microsoft Office (if available); and more.

“Taking Care of Business” Executive Functioning for Teens

Customizable series of in-school or after-school workshops, one/two hours in duration (based on grade level).

Format: In-Person, Small or Medium Group Setting depending on facilities. Students will require Chromebooks/Computer, Internet access. Presenter requires large Smartboard/Display. Topics include Taking Care of Business – Managing Gmail, Google Calendar & LMS; Growth Mindset;
Time Management; Goal Setting; and more.

Understanding Steven Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers

Seven Weekly/Monthly Workshops.

Format: In-person or possible self-paced module-format that can be completed during Advisory/Homeroom. Topics include: Be Proactive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, and other concepts covered by Covey’s book.
